Hancock Lumber and the Business of Shared Leadership announced that Kevin Hancock has been selected as one of six world-class speakers for the “Executive Leadership Conference.”
The Chairman of Hancock Lumber will discuss his mission to advance humanity and help other CEOs and their teams foster a stronger culture.
During a session titled “My Silence: How a Setback Taught Me a Better Way to Lead and Inspire,” Hancock will have the opportunity to discuss his business philosophy. The culture at Hancock Lumber is an environment where everyone leads, power is disbursed, and every person feels trusted, respected, valued, and heard.
Hancock Lumber is a nine-time recipient of the “Best Places to Work in Maine” award. Founded in 1846, the company operates 11 lumberyards, 4 sawmills, a truss manufacturing facility, and timberlands in Maine and New Hampshire. The prodealer is led by its 720 employees.
The executive has worked at Hancock Lumber since 1991 and is part of the seventh generation of his family to lead the organization.
A past chairman, of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealer’s Association (NLBMDA), Hancock has received the Ed Muskie “Access to Justice” Award, the Habitat for Humanity “Spirit of Humanity” Award, the Boy Scouts of America “Distinguished Citizen” Award, and Timber Processing Magazine’s “Person of the Year” Award.
HBSDealer and the NLBMDA recognized Hancock Lumber as the 2022 ProDealer of the Year.
