  • Sales soar at Central Garden & Pet Co.

    Central Garden & Pet Company reported its highest quarterly revenues in the company's history.

    The Walnut Creek, California-based marketer and producer of lawn and garden and pet supplies reported second-quarter sales of $541.2 million, up 8.8% from $497.6 million in the same quarter last year.

    Net income increased 40.7% to $32.7 million compared to $23.2 million in the second quarter a year ago.

    The company also posted its highest quarterly earnings per share in ten years.

  • PetersenDean Roofing & Solar promotes Wendi Zubillaga

    PetersenDean Roofing & Solar, a roofing and solar company based in Fremont, California, has promoted Wendi Zubillaga to builder group president.

    In her new role, Zubillaga will be responsible for the company's residential construction operations as the company expands into five new states. She will also provide sales and operational guidance.

  • Kelso &amp; Co to acquire US LBM Holdings

    It's official. US LBM Holdings announced on Wednesday afternoon a new ownership deal.

    Private equity firm Kelso & Company entered an agreement to purchase a majority of the equity interests in Green Bay, Wisconsin-based US LBM Holdings. BlackEagle Partners LLC and certain members of US LBM will be investors alongside Kelso, according to the announcement. 

  • Strong Q4 and fiscal 2017 for Central Garden &amp; Pet

    Central Garden & Pet Company, the lawn and garden and pet products supplier, reported fourth quarter 2017 net sales rose 18.6% to $490.5 million compared to $413.4 million in the fourth quarter a year ago.

    The Walnut Creek, Calif.-based company also reported a net income of $4.3 million for period compared to a net loss of $5.6 million in the fourth quarter a year ago.
