Foundation Building Materials (FBM) and the Los Angeles Angels have partnered for the 2023 Major League Baseball season.

Since spring training games began in the latter half of February, Angels player uniforms have featured an FBM patch. According to the MLB club, FBM is the first company to take part as an official “Jersey Patch Partner” of the Angels.

The Angels said, “the collaboration brings together two Southern California brands who have established deep roots in the local community and beyond.”

FBM first opened its doors 12 years ago at a single location situated about one mile from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.

Since its founding, Santa Ana-based FMB has grown into an industry powerhouse with more than 270 locations across the United States and Canada. The company distributes drywall, steel framing, and acoustic ceilings. FBM also offers a wide variety of commercial-grade construction tools, drywall hand tools, fasteners, and construction supplies for residential and commercial projects.

“We are excited to welcome Foundation Building Materials to the Angels Partner Family and feature the FBM logo on the sleeve of our jerseys,” said Angels Executive Vice President, Dana Wells. “As local family-run businesses, we share similar values for family and the community. We look forward to working together as partners going forward.”

Along with in-stadium, digital, and radio advertising, as well as hospitality at Angel Stadium and Angels road games, the centerpiece of the partnership will see the company’s logo proudly featured on the sleeve of all on-field Angels players, manager and coaches’ jerseys, the team said.

The logo features a lone Cypress Tree, representing something built, established, or grown on a firm foundation, able to withstand the test of time and prevail.

The rectangular FBM logo shares the same red and navy colors as the Angels official colors since the team’s inaugural season in 1961.

“This exciting partnership between the Angels and Foundation Building Materials was made possible by a deep appreciation for the game of baseball and the value the Angels have created in building a strong local and national brand,” said Foundation Building Materials President and CEO, Ruben Mendoza. “Our logo on the Angels jersey delivers a unique opportunity to be physically and visibly connected to the game, the Angels, and the fans, of whom many are our customers.”

The Angels debuted the patch at their inaugural 2023 Spring Training game against the Seattle Mariners in Peoria, Arizona on Feb. 25.

According to the Angels,  fans will have the opportunity to purchase authentic Angels jerseys with the FBM patch, or have the FBM patch added to their replica jerseys, at the main Angels Team Stores on the Field and Terrace Levels starting this season.

“We look forward to further expanding the reach of our brand as a leader in the building materials space while supporting America’s National Pastime,” Mendoza said.

Players on the Los Angles Angels have made quite a buzz this past week in the World Baseball Classic tournament.

And last night, a historic baseball moment took place featuring two Angels superstars.

In the top of the ninth inning Shohei Ohtani struck out his teammate and Team USA captain Mike Trout to capture a 3-2 win Team Japan in the 2023 World Baseball Classic championship game.
