BlueLinx makes leadership moves

New appointments include Mike Wilson being named chief commercial officer.

BlueLinx, the wholesale building products distributor, has made a series of senior leadership changes.

The Atlanta, Georgia-based company said the moves are aimed at strengthening commercial alignment and advance the company’s sales growth strategy.

Mike Wilson has been appointed chief commercial officer, reporting directly to the CEO Shyam Reddy. 

In this new role, Wilson will oversee the commercial leadership team comprised of the five regional vice presidents and the vice president of national accounts, all reporting directly to him. Wilson brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the new role and previously served as chief product management officer at BlueLinx. 

Leo Oei has been named vice president of product management, succeeding Wilson. Oei previously served as the general manager of both the Denville, New Jersey, and Long Island, New York branches for BlueLinx. Oei brings over 20 years of experience to his new position.

David Sherwood, general manager of the Erwin, Tennessee branch, has been promoted to the position of regional vice president - North Region, reporting directly to the chief commercial officer. Sherwood has more than 30 years of building products experience including time as the general manager – Minneapolis branch, regional director of operations – North Region, and integration leader for the Vandermeer acquisition.

BlueLinx distributes a comprehensive range of products to national home centers, pro dealers, cooperatives, specialty distributors, regional and local dealers, and industrial manufacturers.
