Beacon acquires Garvin Construction Products
Beacon has made its latest waterproofing move with the acquisition of Garvin Construction Products.
Based in Medford, Massachusetts, Garvin Construction Products also operates waterproofing product distribution locations in North Haven, Connecticut; Beltsville, Maryland; Carlstadt, New Jersey;, and Long Island City, New York.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Beacon, for over 70 years Garvin has served design professionals, contractors and owners with complete building envelope solutions including waterproofing, restoration, glass, tinting and glazing.
“Joining Beacon and its growing waterproofing division will enable us to continue serving our loyal customers and provide them additional products and services,” said George Bukuras, Garvin President and CEO.
In 2023, Beacon has made numerous moves in strengthening its waterproofing business – through acquisitions and greenfield openings.
Beacon said its building envelope capabilities are national following the acquisition of Coastal Construction Products and Whitney Building Products earlier this year. With headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary products, including siding and waterproofing. The company operates more than 500 branches throughout the United States and Canada.

Beacon’s Ambition 2025 strategy has included the completion of 8 acquisitions in 2023 along with the opening of 16 new greenfield branches.
Since Beacon launched the Ambition 2025 plan, the company has brought 70 additional locations onboard.
Most recently, Beacon acquired All American Vinyl Siding Supply located in Tupelo, Mississippi.
