ABC Supply opens latest Texas branch
ABC Supply has opened a new branch in Granbury, Texas.
The location is about 38 miles southwest of Fort Worth and will carry roofing along with select exterior and interior building products. Granbury is the county seat of Hood County and located near Lake Granbury.
The building product distributor now operates 48 branches in Texas, ABC Supply told HBSDealer.
The new branch is being managed by Colby Meek. After graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso, Meek spent nine years as a teacher and football coach at his alma mater, Keller High School, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He shifted careers in 2021, joining ABC Supply as an outside sales representative at the Denton, Texas, branch.
“Colby achieved great success in his role and made an immediate impact on ABC Supply with his positive attitude and energy,” said ABC Supply Southwest Region Vice President Jonathan Shepard. “We know he and his team are going to help contractors in the Granbury area get their work done easier and grow their businesses by providing them with the knowledge, support and materials they need."
ABC Supply operates more than 900 locations in the United States and Canada. The Beloit, Wisconsin-based building products distributor is also a 17-time Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winner and a two-time recipient of Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Award for Best Places to Work.
Additionally, the company is committed to hiring military veterans.
Recent ABC Supply branch openings include Pearl, Mississippi; San Bernardino, California; and Durango, Colorado.
Last month, the company also completed the acquisition of several businesses from US LBM.
