Westlake finds fertile ground in the Carolinas

Westlake Ace Hardware signed lease agreements to open two new stores in the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area.

Westlake Ace currently owns and operates 11 stores in North Carolina; five located in the Raleigh-Durham metro area, and six in the Outer Banks.

The new Westlake stores are set to open at the Pinecrest Pointe shopping center and Edgewater Place shopping area. Renovations to the spaces will begin summer 2022, with soft openings planned for November 2022.

Each store will feature approximately 14,000 sq. ft. in retail space. Westlake Ace’s other stores in the Raleigh-Durham metro area are located include three others in Raleigh, and one each in Chapel Hill and Cary.

Westlake, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oak Brook, Ill.-based Ace Hardware Corp., owns and operates 151 stores in 12 states.

Westlake also operates Westlake Commercial, which offers HVAC equipment, plumbing supplies, safety products, commercial lighting,  paint and other business-to-business supplies.
