Remodeling of the space, formerly occupied by Big Lots, will begin in the summer of 2024, said Westlake Ace. A soft opening is planned for late 2024.
Westlake Ace Hardware announced it has signed an agreement to open a new store in Columbia, Missouri.
“Westlake Ace Hardware has been an employer, retailer, and neighbor in Columbia for many years. We love this community,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings, parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware.
Located in the Rock Bridge Shopping Center, the 30,000 square foot store will feature nearly 22,000 square feet of retail space.
In addition to offering such services as key cutting, automotive key fob replacement, and propane tank exchange, the store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies.
The new store will also showcase several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as: STIHL, Ego, Benjamin Moore, DeWalt, Craftsman, Weber and Traeger.
Westlake Ace has been part of the Columbia community since 1960, and currently owns and operates two other locations.
“It’s a great honor to open a third store in Columbia and create exciting opportunities to show new generations of customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily through reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to get their projects done right,” said Jeffries.
