Westlake Ace to open another store in Kansas

Westlake Ace Hardware announced it has signed an agreement to open a new store in western Olathe, Kansas.

The new 16,500-square-foot store will feature 15,000 square feet of retail space. Remodeling will be completed by fall 2023. A soft opening is tentatively planned for December 2023.

“It’s always an honor to open a new store in our hometown. The new Olathe West store helps us reach more customers and create more employment opportunities,” said Joe Jeffries, president, and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware.

Opening this store, he said, “deepens our relationships within the Kansas City area and further showcases how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily through reliable service, helpful advice, and the products people need to get their projects done right.”

The location will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts:

• The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber and Traeger.
• The Outdoor Power Equipment department will sell a full range of gas-, electric-, and battery- powered blowers, chain saws, mowers, and string trimmers from manufacturers such as Stihl, EGO, Craftsman and Toro.
• The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy and Kilz.

Westlake Ace currently owns and operates more than 20 stores in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The Westlake Ace store in Liberty, Missouri, will open in the summer of 2023. The new store is being built in the Highland Plaza Shopping Center.

Also, a soft opening for another new Westlake Ace store in south Lee’s Summit, Missouri, will take place by early 2024.
