Westlake Ace Hardware announced it has signed a lease agreement to open a new location in High Point, North Carolina.
“We are thrilled to be joining the High Point community as a friend, a trusted neighbor, and an employer,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware.
Renovations to the space, located in the Oak Hollow Square shopping center, will begin in early 2023, with an anticipated soft opening scheduled for end of July 2023.
The store will feature approximately 20,000 square feet of retail space, said the company.
“We can’t wait to show our new customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day through reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to get their projects done right,” said Jeffries.
Westlake Ace currently owns and operates 11 locations in North Carolina, under both the Westlake Ace and Outer Banks Ace brand names.
In addition to offering such services as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, a propane tank exchange, knife sharpening, Westlake Ace Hardware will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies.
The new store will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, said the firm, selling brands such as DeWalt, Craftsman, Stihl, Ego, Weber, Milwaukee, Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home by Joanna Gains Paints, and more.
The company, with headquarters in the Kansas City area, said it also plans to open two additional locations in the Raleigh area during the first quarter of 2023.
“Westlake Ace Hardware has been dedicated to delivering reliable service and helpful advice for more than 117 years,” said Jeffries.
Part of the Ace Hardware cooperative since 1959, Westlake Ace has been a wholly owned Ace subsidiary since 2012.
