Here are a few examples of honorees from last year:

Nevada

Meads Hardware

This Orgill dealer is described in many customer messages left on Google and Yelp as being “old school retail Las Vegas.” The store offers hardware, housewares, electrical and plumbing. One of several Yelp reviewers raved about Meads, and said, “this place is the ‘bomb.’ It’s original Las Vegas from when I was a kid. I’m happy to spend money here! And the selections are not only great, but the handymen that work for me, go here first.”

Burns Do it Center

Owner James Burns has all the inventory you would expect from a well-merchandised home center; and they increased their housewares and gifts after a department store closed. Also, Burns is always looking to help his community. After his son joined the Air Force, he volunteered with a local support group for Cannon AFB. Burns said, “to help mentor first assignment airmen I started the group Your New Mexico Home to match them with local families who will take them in and make them a part of their family.”
