VIDEO SHOWCASE: On the gas-powered ban
STIHL shares insights on California’s rules on outdoor power equipment.
In California, Assembly Bill no. 1346 will have a giant impact on outdoor power equipment. The rule requires the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to set emission requirements for small off-road engines to zero by Jan. 1, 2024.
Essentially, that will bring about a ban on the sale of the vast majority of gas-powered outdoor power equipment manufactured after that date, according to STIHL.
Important to note: there will be no law against using the gas-powered products. But it will be against the law to sell certain products made on or after Jan. 1, 2024, under the law.
The video above shares insights from STIHL’s perspective.
