Valuation: What’s your business worth?

The HBSDealer LBM Finance & Development Week event has been extended to run through Thursday, Jan. 28, with a presentation on Business Valuation from Stratus Wealth Advisors. 

All presentations for the LBM Finance & Development Week event are hosted on an innovative platform that allows networking through private conversations among the audience of attendees.

Stratus Wealth Advisor’s presentation will be hosted by Stratus’ Managing Partner Sam Brownell and is titled: “Business Valuation: What is My Business Worth and Can it Fund My Retirement?” The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was forced into postponement by the simultaneous and massive East Coast Internet outage.

The session is designed to outline the steps to accurately value an LBM business, and also offer advice on how to increase the value. These are timely topics for the industry -- especially when one considers that, on average, a business will fail to realize up to 27% of its potential value during an ownership transfer. For a $4 million business, thats more than $1 million left on the table. 

The virtual doors for the Thursday event open at 11:45 a.m., with the presentation beginning at noon.
