Visitors arriving at St. Pete-Clearwater International airport are greeted with the Be Bright mural by Valspar.
Valspar unveiled its latest Be Bright mural by local artist Ashley Cantero at the St. Pete-Clearwater International airport.
“I am thrilled to share the beauty of our community through color and creativity in the Be Bright mural,” said Cantero. “When visitors arrive, I hope the kaleidoscope of color and geometric shapes inspire wonder and generate excitement as they begin their journey.”
Greeting guests as they pass through the arrivals area, said the paint firm, the beach-inspired retro color palate paints a story of local treasures visitors will find in St. Petersburg and Clearwater.
The artist’s mural joins four Be Bright murals across the country in Clearwater, Nashville, Tampa and Ruston, Louisiana. The Be Bright mural initiative allows Valspar to use paint to inspire hope and joy through colorful images of the community.
“Seeing local artists use our paint to spread joy and put smiles on peoples’ faces through these beautiful murals is a small way we can impact the communities where we are,” said Sara Hackney, senior marketing manager, consumer brands group, Sherwin-Williams, the parent company of Valspar.
Community leaders and special Valspar championship guests joined together for the mural opening at the St. Pete-Clearwater airport, which is the first indoor Be Bright mural in the country.
“The St. Pete-Clearwater International airport is honored to showcase local talent, like Ashley’s, and supports Valspar and the Be Bright initiative, said Michele Routh, public relations director, St. Pete-Clearwater International airport.
“This mural will uplift visitors for years to come,” said Routh.
