US LBM grows in Carolinas
US LBM has started December with yet another major regional acquisition.
The building materials distributor and pro dealer reported today that it has acquired Professional Builders Supply, a top supplier of building materials to local, regional and national custom and production professional builders in North and South Carolina.
Professional Builders Supply operates 12 locations in the Carolinas, selling, installing and distributing residential and commercial building materials such as lumber, siding, trim, doors, windows, decking, and railing.
Founded in 2003 and based in Morrisville, N.C., the company also provides turn-key installation services for multifamily applications through its PBS Commercial brand and for residential roofing and siding via SouthEnd Exteriors.

With the addition of Professional Builders Supply, US LBM now operates 31 locations in the Carolinas under multiple banners, including GBS Builders Supply, Jennings Builders Supply & Hardware, Maner Builders Supply, Myrtle Beach Building Supply and Parker's Building Supply.

Anchor Peabody served as the exclusive advisor to Professional Builders Supply. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
US LBM operates more than 400 locations across the country and this move is the latest in a flurry of major acquisitions in 2021.

A day before Thanksgiving, US LBM announced that it expanded its reach in the Washington, D.C. metro market with the acquisition of Barrons. In the prior month, US LBM acquired BuilderUp, another building materials distributor in the D.C. metropolitan area.
