Gas prices are down, and so are building materials stocks.

The Week 11, 2025 edition of the Quikrete Industry Dashboard shows the current U.S. average price for a gallon of regular gas is at $3.08. One month ago, it was $3.16. Pump prices have dropped substantially from last year's nationwide average of $3.41 in mid-March 2024, per AAA's data. Mississippi ($2.64) and Texas ($2.65) are neck and neck for the cheapest gas right now, while California ($4.66) and Hawaii ($4.54) have by far the highest average price per gallon in the nation.

In building materials industry stock news, Beacon (up 36.3 percent), Tractor Supply (up 5.1 percent) and Sherwin-Williams (up 3 percent) are the only stocks on our list that have gone up year-over-year. Meanwhile, all 10 ticker symbols we track have dipped over the past month amid ongoing economic volatility, tariff uncertainty and trade disputes. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is also down 8.7 percent over the past month.
