Stinger's giant, inflatable Scorpion on display.
National Nail’s Stinger brand of tools, fasteners and underlayment will be hard to miss at the 2023 International Roofing Expo in Dallas, Texas.
Stinger’s booth (4501) features a giant inflatable Scorpion alongside ongoing demos of roofing products. The show runs through March 9.
“Since the Stinger brand launched in 2007, the scorpion has been a trusted and familiar part of our logo,” said Jeff Helmholdt, Stinger brand marketing manager.
“This year, we decided to unleash our mascot in a whole new way,” Helmholdt noted. “Positioned on top of the roof of our new demo house, our scorpion strikes an intimidating pose, ready to protect the structure below. It’s a fitting symbol for our brand that focuses on providing homes with the best protection from moisture- below the surface.”
The brand is also sponsoring a social media giveaway including having your picture taken between the claws, following @stingersystems on Instagram, and using the hashtag #thebigsting in a post, story, or reel. Singer also wants help naming the inflatable mascot.
One grand prize winner will receive a Yeti Tundra 45 hard cooler will be selected after the show.
Stinger is a second line of defense beneath the roofing shingle, offering superior moisture defense systems of underlayments, fasteners, and the tools to lay them down. Stinger Exo Synthetic Underlayment is strong and UV resistant for up to 6 months, with proprietary non-skid additives that reduce slips and pre-printed fastening patterns that speed up installation. It recently received acceptance by the Texas Department of Insurance.
When combined with Stinger collated cap fasteners, the resulting moisture barrier is tested and approved for winds up to 180 mph.
Stinger professional grade tools include the award-winning CN100B Cap Nailer and CS150B Cap Stapler along with Cap Hammers, all created with the contractor in mind. Stinger NailPac also meets Florida Product Approval (FL35349) under the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
