Stine opens in Eunice, La.
Stine Home & Yard will host a Grand Opening at its Eunice, Louisiana location July 19 and 20.
The move had its origins In August of 2023, when Stine acquired the assets of Fruge Lumber. Freddie Fruge and his father, the late Cedric Fruge, started the business in 1972.
Stine President Wendy Stine says that after the acquisition, the decision was made to broaden the location's customer mix. Stine brought in DIY friendly categories for which it has a strong reputation. The move enables the new location to serve the DIY and home improvement customers as well as the pro contractor.
“We’re excited to expand our offerings to customers in the Eunice area," said Jenny Stine, director of merchandising. “Customers can now shop for major appliances for their kitchen and laundry room as well as grills for outdoor cooking.”
With the addition of the grilling department, Jenny Stine says that customers can choose from a variety of brand name products such as Traeger wood pellet grills, Weber and Blackstone gas grills and many others.
“We proudly offer better brands in appliances such as Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Maytag, just to name a few,” she added.
Stine is Louisiana’s largest family-owned building materials dealer and employs more than 800 associates in 13 stores across the state of Louisiana and one store in Natchez, Mississippi. In addition to Eunice, Louisiana locations include Bossier City, Broussard, Crowley, Eunice, DeRidder, Iowa, Jennings, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Pineville, Sulphur and Walker.
