“Don’t get boxed in by the big guys—Chatfield’s is here to help.” That’s been the company mantra for more than 50 years. This True Value retailer will service everything, not just what it sells. Its extensive line of power equipment has earned Chatfield’s the distinction of being named a Scag Pro-Gold dealer as well as a Stihl Elite dealer.

In 2020, Frager’s Ace Hardware in Washington,D.C., celebrated its 100th anniversary. The Capitol Hill hardware store (The Capitol Building is within eyesight) is part of the A Few Cool Hardware Stores family in and around Washington, D.C. To honor its centennial, owners Gina Schaefer and Marc Friedman threw an All-Star-worthy celebration: each month the store raised money for local non-profits and publicized a local small business.
