Stat of the Week: Fixr’s figures
A wide-ranging consumer survey from the home improvement web site Fixr.com found that 68% of homeowners have completed more DIY projects during the coronavirus lockdown than in the past.
Landscaping (60%) and painting (56%) were the most popular type of projects, according to Fixr’s Coronavirus Impact on Home Improvement Report. Bringing up the rear were Building a deck (8%) and Removing a wall (8%).
Fixr is a website that offers home improvement price estimates and connects DIYers and home owners with local contractors. More than 170 DIYers participated in the survey. Read more here.
