The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) will hold its first “Women in Distribution” Luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 5.

The luncheon will take place from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. during STAFDA’s 47th Annual Convention & Trade Show scheduled for November 5-7 in San Antonio, Texas.

This luncheon is open to all women attending the convention: distributors, manufacturers, rep agents, and spouses/companions.

The luncheon will be a networking opportunity along with a program from JJ DiGeronimo.

DiGeronimo spoke at STAFDA’s 2019 Nashville Convention and resonated well with those who attended her workshop, the association said. Her luncheon topic for San Antonio is “Accelerate your Impact.”

In a press release, STAFDA said, many professional women desire more influence and impact yet may not be aware of the necessary steps to make their goals a reality. With many career aspirations, DeGeronimo also struggled with a direct path which inspired her to research successful women and men to learn the specific actions necessary to navigate the professional landscape.

With proven insights, she’ll share actionable strategies for women in business to shine a light on the opportunities to enhance their path. Securing that next position, a board seat, or even starting a new initiative often requires women to enhance their brand, align to specific projects, and strategically expand their network.

The Accelerate Your Impact presentation will be based on her book of the same name, which has been coined as a professional playbook empowering women of all ages to step into their goals while positioning themselves for the next level of impact.

The speaker was a leader in the tech industry and is now an award-winning author of three books to empower and encourage women by creating a lasting impact with proven career strategies. Her insights have been published in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Smart Business, and Bloomberg in addition to being featured on CBS News and ABC.

Her husband also operates a family-run contractor business so she has firsthand knowledge of the construction industry.

Registration for STAFDA’s San Antonio Convention & Trade Show opens Monday, June 26, from the members-only section of its website, stafda.org. You must be a member to attend.
