St. Charles Hardware, a Do it Best dealer based in St. Charles, Ill. recently celebrated its grand opening with a weekend of events, giveaways and savings opportunities for customers, the company related.

“On Saturday, St. Charles Mayor Lora Vitek kicked off a day of family-friendly festivities,” the hardware store said, “with a ceremonial ribbon cutting using a custom-engraved saw.”

Todd Gordon, owner of the St. Charles Do it Best Hardware, partnered with nearby restaurants to cater the two-day event, taking an opportunity to support other area businesses.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of fare from Dave’s Burritos, Giordano Italian Restaurant, Panda Express, and Bulldog Ale House.

Prize drawings continued through the weekend, the hardware store pointed out, and included a Channellock Wet/Dry Vac, drill kits from Milwaukee and DeWalt, a DeWalt jigsaw, a Black & Decker palm sander, and the grand prize of a Weber Spirit stainless steel grill.

Savings on select merchandise throughout the store, it added, will continue through October 31.
