Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc (ABC US) received a new and updated technical evaluation report (DrJ Engineering’s TER 1912-07) for SPAX PowerlagsEngineered Fasteners.

The report covers the largest range of structural lag fasteners in the industry, including 4 diameters (1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2") and lengths ranging from 2" to 24". Building contractors will be able to utilize test data values for SPAX products evaluated in multiple species of hard and softwood products found across the country.

In addition, SPAX specialized exterior coatings were evaluated and approved for use in treated lumber. A key takeaway for contractors is that SPAX PowerLags can be used to replace conventional lags and eliminate the need to pre-drill (1/4" and 5/16") during installation, saving time and effort.

SPAX has a continued focus on application-specific testing and code compliance. Once certified, our products do not change - we hold true to original specifications to ensure certification standards are always met or exceeded in application,” said Eric Ashack, SPAX Product Manager. “We know building code compliance and technical reports are important to instill confidence and peace of mind for dealers, contractors and builders,”
