Dealers and members of the LMC team gather for a cookout at the buying group's annual employee picnic.
LMC Dealers Dave Reichert from Davis Hawn Lumber in Dallas, Texas, and Nate Miller
from Millers Building Supply in Goshen, Ind., recently traveled to LMC offices in Wayne, Pa. for three reasons, the LBM buying group said.
The duo shared their stories of how they got into this industry, explained how each and everyone at LMC has made a difference in their businesses, and then personally thanked the entire LMC team for all their efforts.
To show the LMC Team how much they are appreciated, Dave and Nate teamed up using
Miller’s monster smoker to prepare for a 12-hour smoke of brisket, pork, and sausage for the annual employee picnic the next day at our offices in Wayne, PA.
“Before LMC, we were good at surviving,” Reichert said. “Once we joined LMC, we learned how to thrive as a business.”
In the evening, while lunch for the next day was smoking, employees were invited to bring a chair and refreshments so they could enjoy some smoked cheese, salmon, and homemade chips with the chefs and their helpers.
“If you take one thing away from today, I hope you recognize us being here as a thank you for how much you do for our organization,” Miller said.
Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation (LMC) is a leading forest products and building materials buying group owned by independent lumber and building material dealers. There are over 1,600 LMC dealer locations in the United States and the Bahamas.
