Seen at the Ace convention
Ace nation gathered in Las Vegas March 8-10 for its first market since September in Orlando. For dealers, the event featured thousands of deals to go along with networking opportunities and new product discoveries.
Some of the scenes from the Ace event were captured on digital film by HBSDealer staff, including the following:
The three-day Ace Hardware Spring Convention & Exhibits drew to a close Thursday, March 10. Ace will host its Fall Convention in Chicago, Aug. 16-18.
One of the tasty highlights of the convention: the outdoor grill area. The Nevada weather cooperated perfectly for taste tests and product demonstrations.
Apple, the world's most valuable company as measured by market capitalization ($2.659 trillion), was on hand to promote the partnership between Ace and the Apple Card. The arrangement allows Ace dealers to offer 3% cash back to Apple Card customers, a first in the hardware space.
It wouldn't be a hardware convention without a log carving of some kind. Here at the Ego booth, a craftsman carefully works a log into the shape of an owl.
The Retail Training Center on the show floor featured a broad curriculum of educational sessions. From "Ace Rewards Essentials" to "Employee Retention" to "Roll Out the Red Carpet with Enhanced Curbside," a steady flow of presentations ran during the three-day event.
The Ace Foundation raised a record $21.8 million in 2021, with one of the key beneficiaries being the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Shown above at the always-active Ace Foundation booth are Kane Calamari, president of the Ace Foundation; Catherine Jones, community engagement manager, and Chris Doucet, director.
