Scenes from the Builders' Show
ORLANDO, FLA. —There's a feeling of back-to-work, back-to-business, and — to a certain extent — back to normal here at the 2022 Design & Construction Week, which brings together the International Builders' Show and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.
A tally of registered attendees circulating through the often eye-catching and occasionally multi-story product displays is around 68,000. Many of the messages emanating from the booths share similar themes: resilient products to bring value to home owners; time-saving innovation to ease the labor shortage, and harnessing efficiency in the face of supply chain challenges.
The Feb. 8-10 event returned to live, in-person format for the first time since 2018. Comments from inside booths at major industry were generally pleased with the foot. traffic, a result of both pent-up demand for networking and the overall growth of home building and renovation during the pandemic.
The Design & Construction Week festivities will. draw to a close Thursday with a Best of IBS Awards presentation, followed by an early evening concert with country music star Trace Adkins.
