S.C. Chamber recognizes Cameron Ashley

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce has recognized Cameron Ashley Building Products as a great workplace.

Cameron Ashley has been named to the chamber’s 2020 list of Best Places to Work in South Carolina.

To identify the state’s top-notch employers, the chamber partnered with the publishers of SCBIZ and the Best Companies Group for the 15th consecutive year to conduct the state’s most thorough, comprehensive selection process. 

In a statement issued on Linkedin, Cameron Ashley said, “We were thrilled to be named to the SC Best Places to Work list last month! Thank you to our amazing employees who made this possible. It was our first year applying to the list, and we can't thank you all enough for your dedication to making this a true BEST place to work!”

The chamber named 74 companies to the list, including 50 small-to-medium size businesses with between 15 and 249 employees along with 24 larger companies with 250 employees or more. Cameron Ashley is listed among larger companies.

Based in Greenville, S.C., Cameron Ashley serves about 5,000 customers in the lumber and building materials and operates 40 distribution centers in 20 states. 

Earlier this month, the distributor opened its latest distribution facility in Fort Wayne, Ind.
