Corporate strategy appointment
Last month, Roseburg named Eric Geyer as the company’s new vice president of corporate strategy and external affairs.
In this new role, Greyer is responsible for strategic planning, business development and company growth, government affairs, and communications at Roseburg.
“Over his 24 years with the company, Eric has developed a keen understanding of Roseburg’s purpose, capabilities, and strategic opportunities,” Gray said. “Eric has demonstrated an ability to deliver results, drive growth, and advocate successfully for the company’s best interests internally and externally. I am excited to welcome him to our executive leadership team and see his continued and enhanced influence on our future.”
Geyer joined Roseburg in 1999 as a forester on the company’s resources team.
During his tenure, he has negotiated several important land deals for the company, and managed strategy and negotiations for key acquisitions that expanded Roseburg’s operations across North America.
He also played a lead role in achieving Oregon’s historic Private Forest Accord, a forest practices agreement between timber industry and environmental advocates passed into law in 2021, the company said.
