Ring’s End, the Darien, Conn.-based LBM and hardware dealer, has already put a present under its tree.

The company announced that it is expanding to 31 locations following the acquisition of Johnson Paint Company effective Jan. 31, 2023. The move brings 11 Johnson Paint locations on board.

Johnson operates stores in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire under the Johnson Paint, Maine Paint, Port Paint & Paper, and Wicked Awesome Paints banners.

“We are excited to welcome the Johnson Paint Team into the Ring’s End family. We are honored to carry on the tradition of excellent customer service started by the Johnson family 84 years ago and look forward to building on our success together with this great team. The culture of Johnson Paint aligns incredibly well with Ring’s End, which made this an easy decision for both sides,” said Mike Burkhart, president and COO of Ring’s End.

Prior to the deal, Ring’s End served Connecticut; Westchester County, N.Y.; and Rhode Island. Following the acquisition, Ring’s End will now have a reach into five states.
