REHAU, a polymer-based manufacturing firm, announced the appointment of Rick Carter to the position of sales director for the furniture solutions division in North America.
“We are pleased to welcome Rick,” said Damian Kirby, vice president of the division for REHAU Americas. “I look forward to seeing how he applies his extensive sales experience to accelerate the growth of our furniture solutions division.”
Reporting directly to Kirby, said the firm, Carter will oversee sales and customer service teams in the U.S. and Canada.
“I am working to leverage the firm’s strengths in the market and to help define a clear strategy that will secure our sustainable long-term growth,” said Carter.
Carter brings 30 years of sales experience to the company having served in a variety of roles and product-market segments including construction, architectural and kitchen.
Most recently, as national sales manager for a U.S. cabinet manufacturer in Indiana, Carter was instrumental in adding new distribution and retailers throughout North America.
He will focus on growing the firm’s millwork and cabinetry business in the region, said the company.
Founded in 1948 in the Bavarian town of Rehau, the company said its teams develop, manufacture and market products and solutions for sectors that include furniture, construction and industrial.
The firm’s Americas headquarters are located in Leesburg, Virginia.
“I am proud to join REHAU’s very knowledgeable and tenured team, where I have been greeted with an overwhelming amount of support,” said Carter.
