The Week 35 Quikrete Industry Dashboard shows average gas prices are down ($3.35) significantly from last month ($3.49) and much lower than last year's nationwide average of $3.82 in late-August 2023, per AAA.
Also on the Quikrete Industry Dashboard, the latest Consumer Confidence index numbers are up (103.3) from last month's 101.9. However, the latest numbers are down from August 2023's 108.7.
In stock news, Masco (+36.4 percent), Sherwin-Williams (+34.7 percent) and Tractor Supply (+25 percent) have all showed large annual gains so far in 2024. Stanley Black & Decker and Lowe's, meanwhile, experienced positive jumps from last month. Beacon's stock dipped over 11 percent in the past month.
