Professional Builders Supply (PBS) announced that it has expanded its footprint in the North Carolina Triangle region with the opening of a new distribution facility located between Benson and Dunn, N.C. on US 301 North.

The new operation will stock and deliver lumber, siding, interior trim, hardware and other building materials.

Eric Lamm will manage the facility and report to Mike Brown, the Raleigh-Durham market president.

“We are excited about the opportunity this new operation will create in serving the rapidly growing Southern Wake, Harnett and Johnston County area,” said Van Isley, CEO of Professional Builders Supply.

Professional Builders Supply was founded in Raleigh in 2003 and has grown rapidly.

The company sells and distributes residential and commercial building materials out of 14 facilities in the Carolinas and Georgia.

PBS employs 590 associates and has annual revenues of approximately $500 million.

In other recent news, PBS announce that Venus Mitchell has joined its team as corporate controller.  Mitchell previously served as a finance leader at the LORD Corporation for more than 15 years.

PBS has also promoted Steve Hansen to executive vice president of purchasing.

Hansen joined the company in 2017 and quickly gained a strong working knowledge of the industry and the related supply channel, PBS said.

"His experience, business acumen, integrity and tireless efforts have significantly enhanced our purchasing and procurement processes as well as our relationships with keys suppliers," the dealer said.
