A plurality of respondents feels “negative” about the industry trend.
Recent examples of industry consolidation have taken place in Idaho, in Illinois, and Denver, to point to a few.
Consolidation can bring efficiency, economies of scale and even enhanced innovation. On the other hand, it diminishes diversity, reduces competition and is often associated with job losses.
