U.S. LBM M&A vp recognized
U.S. LBM Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions Jim Hooper has been recognized by The M&A Advisor as one of its “Emerging Leaders” for 2018.
Hooper was one of several winners honored at a ceremony in New York last month. He was chosen for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of business leaders.
The M&A Advisor recognizes leading mergers and acquisitions, financing and turnaround professionals, and created the Emerging Leaders event to promote mentorship and professional development amongst the emerging business leaders. Hooper
“Jim has delivered numerous strategic acquisitions for us, and he’s well deserving of this recognition from his peers,” said U.S. LBM President and CEO L.T. Gibson. “Jim builds trust and relationships to create successful partnerships, which have helped make U.S. LBM an acquirer of choice in the building materials industry.”
Hooper joined U.S. LBM in 2016. Prior to joining the company, he held multiple leadership roles at SRS Distribution, Inc. He began his career at Ernst & Young, LLP.
Based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., U.S. LBM operates more than 30 building material distribution businesses.
The company has been busy in regard to mergers and acquisitions in 2018. Last month U.S. LBM acquired Blevins Building Supply, a building materials distributor with 6 locations in western North Carolina and southern Virginia.
