Masonite names new CIO
Door manufacturer Masonite has appointment of Dan Shirk as senior vice president and chief information officer.
Shirk joins Masonite with more than 25 years of IT, operations and general management experience. Most recently, he served as vice president for information systems and the project management office at Ascena Retail Group, a clothing retailer with approximately $7 billion in annual sales. He also held leadership roles at Boral Stone and Owens Corning, where he spent 9 years.
“Dan has a robust set of experiences, not just as an IT leader, but as an operations and business leader,” Fred Lynch, Masonite president and CEO, said in a statement issued by the company. “He has a proven track record of leading large portfolios of IT projects, including ERP deployments and supporting digital initiatives. This experience will prove valuable as we continue to transform our system capabilities and lead with digital solutions.”
Based in Tampa, Fla., Masonite provides interior and exterior doors for the residential new construction; the residential repair, renovation and remodeling; and the non-residential building construction markets.
