Parksite names new VP of human resources
Parksite has appointed Chris Swenson to its newly created role of vice president, human resources.
Swenson will lead Parksite’s human resources teams across all business units, the Batavia, Illinois-based company said.
“Significant growth and expansion, like we’ve experienced at Parksite, brings different demands on the business, and as we approach 1,000 associate owners, human resources is a perfect example,” said Parksite CEO Ron Heitzman. “Growing leaders from within the organization is even more critical to our future success so we’re investing in our people and in our Human Resources organization.
“In Chris we’ve found a ‘been-there-done-that’ leader who can help us deepen our already great ownership culture," Heitzman added.
Swenson has over 20 years of experience in executive human resources leadership roles, including Fortune 500, private equity and privately held manufacturing companies. Most recently Swenson served as senior vice president of human resources for Waterton, a real estate investment and property management company.

The building products distributor is 100% employee-owned and operates 22 locations. Parksite was founded in 1971.
