Orgill pitches True Value retailers
Since True Value's bombshell bankruptcy announcement in October, hardware distributors have made no secret of courting retailers potentially left in the lurch by the industry-shaking news.
Orgill CEO Boyden Moore has posted a "Letter to True Value Retailers," which lays out the company's "Pathway to Success." In the letter, Moore shares that the company has "successfully converted over 400 True Value stores to Orgill in just the past two years," adding an invitation to "put us to the test."
He goes on to address the "more than 800 True Value stores who haven’t made the decision to convert to Orgill as their primary distribution partner" in direct, personalized fashion, even going so far as to include his email address to connect with new potential partners.

Dear True Value Retailers,
I’ve had the opportunity to talk with many of you and I’m sorry to learn of the challenges and anxiety that you’ve gone through over the past several weeks and are still currently facing.
