Plumbing manufacturer Oatey Co., based in Cleveland, has released a podcast series called “The Fix” to support the trades.

Aimed at the education, inspiration and empowerment of the next gen of pros, and to promote the “longevity of the industry” said the company, episodes will welcome thought leaders from plumbing, electrical, HVAC, construction and more.

“The Fix is intended to be more than a podcast, but rather a community,” said co-host Katherine Lehtinen, senior vice president of brand and digital marketing at Oatey.

Together with her co-host Doug Buchan, technical applications manager and master plumber, they will engage in conversations with guests from the trades to explore careers, discuss solutions to labor shortages, and demonstrate how rewarding the skilled trades are, said the company.

“At Oatey, we’re passionate about skilled trades, and we’re committed to doing our part as a manufacturer to ensure the vitality of this essential industry,” said Lehtinen.

The first few episodes are available on all major podcast platforms and new episodes, the company said, will be released on Wednesdays.

Lehtinen said: “If our conversations motivate even one individual to give the trades a try, then we’re one step closer to reaching our collective goal.”

Since 1916, Oatey Co. provides products for the residential and commercial plumbing industries.
