Northern Tool opens a third location in Austin

Northern Tool + Equipment announced the opening of its third retail location in Austin. That makes 37 stores in Texas.

“We have a strong presence in Texas,” said Joe Apolloni, senior VP of retail stores at Northern Tool + Equipment, “and we expand to reach more skilled DIYers and tradespeople across the country.”

In addition to providing a retail shopping option for professional-grade tools at great prices,said the firm, the new store will offer job opportunities in the area.

A grand opening event will be held on August 26, said the company.

The Minnesota-based retailer has more than 130 stores across the country – with a goal, it said, of continuing to grow its presence nationwide, including in Texas.

Founded in 1981, Northern Tool + Equipment is a family-owned company serving both DIYers and trades professionals tackling the tough projects.

The company described itself as a leading supplier of more than 100,000 high-quality tools and equipment for more than 40 years.
