At a Home Depot in Philadelphia this past weekend, store associates voted on whether to unionize. It was no.

“We’re happy that the associates at this store voted to continue working directly with the company,” said a spokesperson for The Home Depot.

This vote, said the retailer, pertained to the Roosevelt Blvd. store in Philadelphia, and the vote count was 165 against to 51 for.

“That connection is important to our culture, and we will continue listening to our associates and making The Home Depot a great place to work and grow,” said the spokesperson.

The Home Depot said the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will post the results seven days after the vote, as both sides have seven days to file any objections to the election.

At the end of the second quarter of fiscal year 2022, the company reported, it operated 2,316 retail stores.
