NLBMDA hosting town hall session

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) will host a town hall event on Aug. 13., 3 p.m. EST.

The NLBMDA said that it has been successfully working on behalf of the entire lumber and building materials industry to ensure federal lawmakers understand how vital it is to support residential and commercial construction, small businesses such as retail lumber dealers, and the U.S. economy as a whole.

The Senate is now considering their Phase 4 relief legislation and NLBMDA already has a robust lobbying strategy underway. This includes advocating for LBM dealer priorities such as more access to PPP funds, reducing the expanded unemployment benefit, affordable housing provisions, and more.

This member only industry town hall event will provide a forum for NLBMDA’s government relations team to brief you on legislative and regulatory issues, provide the latest information regarding topics such as small business relief programs, OSHA’s crane rule update, congressional relief legislation, and address your questions submitted in advance.

The town hall discussion will also review how dealers can access federal resources and offer guidance on applications, federal agency resources and contacts, and other important information.

Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance during registration or by emailing the NLBMDA at  [email protected].

Registration for the town hall is available here.
