At World and Main, a CEO is replaced
There's a change at the top of World and Main, the Cranbury, New Jersey-based provider of product development, merchandising and distribution solutions.
Donald Devine, the CEO who led the charge to reorganize and rebrand a variety of hardware and building supply companies under the World and Main umbrella, has left the company.
"Donald Devine has left the organization, and Bruce Fisher has been named as interim CEO," wrote Anthony DeRosa, VP marketing for World and Main. "Joining Fisher is G. Stephen LeGraw, who is interim president and chief operating officer and will lead the day-to-day operations of the business."
A search is under way for a permanent president and CEO.
DeRosa added: "Both Fisher and LeGraw are strong executives with extensive experience in distribution, retail and branded products who will continue the company’s strategic plan developed by the senior leadership team."
The World and Main brand was created in October, following a string of investments that included plumbing giant Jones Stephens Corp., the Faucet Queens and WordLock.
Also part of the World and Main family is the distributor formerly known as Handy Hardware, based in Houston. The new entity -- World and Main (Houston) -- held its first spring market in February.
