Woodfold acquires Panelfold accordion door line

Woodfold Manufacturing announced that it has acquired the intellectual property rights, and key equipment of the accordion door line from Panelfold, Inc., which ceased operations in early November.

Panelfold had been a highly regarded brand, supplying accordion doors and operable walls into a range of markets across North America.

Woodfold also manufactures accordion doors and the product line acquisition will bring synergy and natural line expansion to the current Woodfold Accordion Door range, the company said.

Woodfold said that once it makes the necessary adjustments to manufacturing operations at its Forest Grove, Ore. facility, then full-scale production of the viable lines will commence under the Woodfold brand name.

Founded in 1957, Woodfold manufactures door and window components for the commercial and residential markets. The company’s core products include accordion doors, luxury hardwood shutters, and hardwood roll-up doors.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
