Wisconsin homeowner wins “DIY Drama Contest”

Melissa Mautz of Hartland, Wis, has been named the grand-prize winner of True Value's first-ever "DIY Drama Contest." The contest allowed homeowners to share their home improvement projects gone awry for a chance to fix up their mix-ups.

The winning entry that received the most online votes focused on a bathroom job that involving unsightly and excessive duct tape. As the national winner, Mautz will receive $5,000 to use at her local True Value store and an in-person consultation with a True Value expert to get the project done right.
