Whirlpool inks exclusive deal with multi-family developer

Whirlpool has entered an exclusive, multi-year partnership with Equity Residential, an S&P 500 company that acquires, develops and manages 137,007 apartment units in 23 states and the District of Columbia.

Under the terms of the agreement, Whirlpool will supply appliances in all of Equity’s new construction and rehab projects, as well as replace appliances in existing apartments.

Headquartered in Benton Harbor, Mich., Whirlpool manufactures washers, dryers, dishwashers and a number of other major household appliances under a variety of brand names including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn- Air, Amana, Brastemp, Consul and Bauknecht.
