Whirlpool expands Ohio manufacturing facilities
Whirlpool has some major investment news. The company broke ground on a $40 million expansion project at its Findlay, Ohio, operations and just completed another $40 million project to expand operations at its Greenville, Ohio, facility.
The Findlay dishwasher-manufacturing facility will add 86,400 sq. ft. and anticipates adding about 50 new jobs. The expansion will provide additional assembly capacity and material space.
The company plans to double the size of its Greenville operations, which produces KitchenAid brand stand mixers and attachments, hand mixers and blenders at the The facility employs more than 1,200 men and women.
"These investments in our manufacturing facilities are examples of our ongoing commitment to American manufacturing and reinforce our belief that the state of Ohio serves as a manufacturing center of excellence for appliances," said James Keppler, VP integrated supply chain and quality, Whirlpool.
