Werner recalling 5 ladder models
The ladders were sold at The Home Depot and Lowe’s between April and May 2018.
Werner ladders is recalling five models of aluminum telescoping ladders that can be used in five different positions, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
According to the commission, the ladders can break while in use and already resulted in at least on injury.
The ladders can be used as a twin step ladder, stairway step ladder, extension ladder, wall ladder and as two scaffold bases. Home Depot and Lowe’s stores sold the ladders nationwide from April 2018 through May 2018 for between $180 and $275.
Consumer are being told to immediately stop using the ladders and return them for a full refund.
Model number include MT-IAA-13A, MT-IAA-17A, MT-IAA, 22A, MT-IAA-26, and MT-IAA-26A. These Werner models extended between 13 feet and 26 feet. Model codes are stamped on the inside of the outer leg of the ladder, beneath the bottom step,
Werner Co., of Greenville, Pa. imported the ladders, which were manufactured in China.
