Wayne Dalton cuts lead time

Lewisville, Texas-based Wayne Dalton said its dealers can provide shorter lead times to their customers thanks to a new discontinuous manufacturing line at the Mount Hope, Ohio plant. This production line makes doors section by section, allowing for efficient manufacturing and flexible production.

The discontinuous line is available on several models of Wayne Dalton garage doors, including Models 9700, 9800, 9100 and 9600, and reducing the lead times for these models “significantly,” the company said.

“Wayne Dalton dealers can expect to have their doors much faster as a result of the new manufacturing line,” said Mark Sawicki, residential steel product manager for Wayne Dalton. “Our goal is to provide faster lead times and strengthen our position as industry leaders.”
