Versatex boosts its warranty
Pittsburgh-based Versatex Building Products extended the warranty of its weather-resistant PVC architectural trim products and systems. It’s now good for the installed life of the product.
The move comes after the company charted its performance across the country -- even in hot, cold and wet environments, such as Florida beaches and the New England coast.
”We felt it was time to make a statement about our confidence in everything we manufacture,” said Rick Kapres, Versatex VP sales and marketing. “That’s why we’re extending our original warranty, already one of the strongest in the industry, from 30 years to the life of the product, and making it fully transferrable to second homeowners as well.”
The lifetime limited warranty will apply to all Versatex products installed after Aug. 1, 2015, and comes at no added cost to the distributor or contractor. He noted that products installed before Aug. 1 will retain their original 30-year warranty coverage. The new warranty provides coverage against manufacturing defects that could cause delamination, decay, rot, corrosion or excessive swelling “for as long as you own the product,” he said.
The new warranty applies to the complete line of Versatax products, he said. “Builders and distributors already know that our trimboards, mouldings, column wraps and other easy-to-install components deliver long-lasting curb appeal with zero painting or maintenance. Our aim now is to give them, and the ultimate end-user at home, an even deeper sense of security in choosing Versatax.”
