Valspar turns up its zero-VOC game
Valspar has spent the last few years undertaking a reformulation initiative, and now, it has a comprehensive line of high-performing zero-VOC paint products across all price points.
"It's a new era for interior paint, as Valspar brings a smarter, sustainable formulation to market without sacrificing the unparalleled premium performance and color confidence our customers demand," said Heidi Petz, VP marketing, Valspar. "Typically, paint performance is defined by durability and color accuracy, and these zero-VOC paints exceedingly measure up to these essential qualities. What's more, the range of options we offer covers the needs for residential as well as commercial properties, including offices, schools and healthcare facilities."
Each product has earned Greenguard Gold Certification (a rigorous standard for indoor clean air) while maintaining durability, performance and color consistency.
The new lineup of four zero-VOC interior paints is available exclusively at Lowe's: Reserve, Signature, Ultra 2000 and Ultra 4000.
Valspar Reserve has been VOC-free since launching more than two years ago; the Valspar Ultra series was re-launched last year as zero-VOC; and Valspar Signature is the most recent beneficiary of a new formulation, which also delivers better performance and durability than the previous formula.
"Valspar's zero-VOC lineup delivers an exciting new innovation in paint: one that helps us all breathe a little easier without compromising Valspar's long-standing reputation for great performance," said Robin Bornkamp, Lowe's merchandising VP for paint. "Responsible product choices benefit our communities and the environment, and we are thrilled to add Valspar paint to Lowe's roster of greener product choices consumers can make when tackling their next home improvement project."
